Wood Wood SS2015 'CLASS OF NOW'
Scandinavian imprint Wood Wood Clothing kick-off Copenhagen Fashion Week by presenting the look book for their Spring/Summer 2015 collection titled 'CLASS OF NOW'.
Taking inspiration from a fictional boarding school the collection takes its influences from academia, sports and student culture. The collection is split into two, Street Basics and Contemporary Fashion with the later offering divided into three monthly drops that each take thematic focus from sports, science and the art department within said fictional school. The result pulls in several directions whilst still remaining cohesive and consists of check patterns, painted prints, minimalist aesthetics and technical details.
The first drop which has landed instore takes inspiration from athletics and uses materials such as mesh, synthetics, cotton fleece and an assortment of jerseys with colour combinations of neutral greys and blues. The sports motif of the collection is further emphasized by the minimal performance inspired branding throughout.
Already dropped from the collection is the Hester Logo Sweatshirts which featuring athletic motifs, the preppy Damien shirt, the logo cap and the stalwart of any athletic tribe the Varsity Jacket in the form of the Billie Jacket.
