Historic Lifestyle Brand and Famed Retailer Gives Nod to Philly
with Premium Collaboration
From the original
signing of the Declaration of Independence, to the world famous microbrew
industry the city is now known for, Philadelphia has always been a place where
DIY reigns supreme and the status quo is upheaved. Giving a nod to the city by
representing the Liberty Bell, UBIQ and Brooks
Heritage have teamed up to introduce the exclusive UBIQ x Brooks “Liberty” Chariot which will launch in the UK on 27th
December.
Taking
inspiration from Philadelphia’s craftsmanship and the sheer beauty of its
iconic relics, Brooks and UBIQ have put their own spin on the famed 1982 Brooks
Chariot silhouette. Dubbed the "Liberty," the upper on the Brooks Chariot
is constructed of smooth premium dark brown leather. Subtle and unassuming, it
boasts a handcrafted look that is built tough for gritty Philly streets.
Burgundy lining and gold details on the tongue, heel tab, aglet, and lace lock
compliment the design, but never break its character. A white and black midsole
mixes up the palette before giving way to a gum flavored EVA outsole, complete
with a hardened rubber heel for durability. Staying true to the original design,
the eyelets turn to D-rings midway through the vamp to ensure a snug fit. A custom
branded insole features a split graphic of the Liberty Bell to represent perseverance.
