Colours - Celebrating 10 Years Of Toolroom Records

Toolroom Records is one of the world's leading dance record labels. From the humble beginnings of owner and superstar DJ Mark Knight’s Tool Shed in 2003, the label has grown in to an international powerhouse, achieving unrivalled success in just a short few years; smashing innumerable sales records, scooping some of the industries biggest awards and a globally renowned events brand make the Toolroom name synonymous with the best in the business!

They kick things off for their tenth birthday tour in style with a night and day event at Colours, Glasgow. On Sunday 4th August 2013, they will be celebrating from 1.30pm to 2am at the Barras Art & Design Centre and SWG3  with a soundtrack provided by this stunning line-up:
Mark Knight
Stefano Noferini
Mark Storie
Jon Mancini
Giovanni Ferri

Mark Knight’s legacy already ranks him as a leading player in dance music culture. His rise to the forefront has been more than just gigs and remixes; his contribution to the scene via his label Toolroom Records, demonstrates abilities that supercede the glorified title of ‘DJ’. With a Grammy Nomination for work on the Black Eyed Peas’ multi-platinum album ‘The-End’, 3 of the biggest selling records on Beatport’s ‘Best Sellers List’; ‘Music Matters’ ‘Flauta Magica’ & ‘Good Times’, an IDMA nomination for his Toolroom Knights weekly radio show and a prestigious Beatport award for his single ‘Good Times’ are just a few of his many achievements. He’ll be playing both the Day & Night event, so you can experience 2 sets from the man himself.

To make this event even more amazing, we’ve also got a Colours debut from Stefano Noferini. Known to have a golden touch when it comes to dance floor destroyers, Noferini is a shining example that true talent rises to the top. A long time champion of house music in all its forms, Stefano has been building his legend for some time. Always innovating sounds and crossing into a broad range of genres has been a key factor in his well-deserved rise. Never one to stagnate, Stefano has merged all the musical elements at his disposal into a brilliant sound experience that no one can match. Hailing from Italy, Stefano Noferini is one of the nations most respected DJs and producers. Having been a pivotal force in Italy’s burgeoning house music scene with his national radio show, Stefano forged a musical symbiosis with his homeland that still exists today. Years of top productions have cemented his status at the top of the dance music food chain.

Completing the Toolroom artists is Scotland's very own Mark Storie. Forget trying to nail Mark Storie to a genre for he’s a Dj/ Producer who’s from the school of thought where only those who’ve perfected the art of mixing need apply. If it has a bass line, a beat, melody & above all else that killer groove, chances are Mark is already championing it… It’s all too easy to endlessly list Mark’s accomplishments since his 2003 debut at the now legendary End/AKA club for Underwater/ Kidology under his Ninja Cowboys guise or wax lyrical about his key long term monthly residencies in the majority of London’s world-renowned outdoor terrace & late night venues over the last ten years...

Support at both events will come from Colours residents extraordinaire JON MANCINI & GIOVANNI FERRI, making these events something very special indeed.
